Recommendations for editor Sara D. Hauber

I cannot put a price on what I gained from working with Sara D. Hauber. When I reached out to Sara for help with the editing of my DNP project proposal, my paper was in a sad state. I was very nervous to ask for help. My level of insecurity regarding my writing was paralyzing. I had no idea, from the lack of feedback from my DNP project supervisor, just how far I needed to improve the quality of my paper. That being said, I cannot express the freeing feeling that came over me due to the kindness Sara revealed in her communication. Sara was attentive and did not let much time pass between our correspondence. That was reassuring while I attempted to engage in the writer-editor relationship, which was very foreign to me.

During our first phone meeting, Sara quantified the amount of work I still needed to accomplish. The DNP degree is still trying to understand itself--not like the 100-year-old PhD, which is well established. I felt both myself and my project supervisor were equally lost, and Sara provided the roadmap I needed to write a high-quality project proposal.

I would say that Sara’s attention to detail is as though she is fighting for your paper and topic. I felt she jumped in and, after my full year of pulling together a very important subject near and dear to my heart, she approached it as if it were also her own. Her engagement was heartfelt and her method of working allowed me to improve my writing skills as well--a huge learning curve.

I made a huge sacrifice to find the funds to hire Sara. I realized that from where I currently was to where I needed to go, it would have been ridiculous not to hire her for the editing. Whatever her fee, I would have been a fool to continue with my level of suffering. She eased that suffering and, in addition to applying her expertise, she gave me the confidence I needed to pull the proposal together. Again, priceless.

Sara did a fantastic job! I am telling all of my colleagues about her services and how they helped me.

I really appreciate your professional assistance with the manuscript. If I ever write another manuscript, I will hire you prior to my first submission. It has been extremely helpful. I have learned a great deal throughout this process.

Sara provided suggestions to improve my manuscript in such a nurturing, upbeat way that this was truly a non-stressful learning experience. Her upbeat and encouraging manner made me feel as though I could succeed. I am very appreciative of the opportunity to work with Sara to produce a professional, polished manuscript.

When Sara went through my paper with me to show me how to write better, this was extremely helpful. Teaching me to be a more "active" writer instead of a passive writer and being more clear in my writing. The examples she discussed with me helped me more than just a comment or feedback from the instructor.

She actually helps teach you how to write better. I feel like I am actually learning. But, she also doesn't make you feel bad if you forget something she already explained.

I was really struggling with clarity and organizing my thoughts so my reader could easily understand my main points. Sara was great about looking at the big picture, but also addressing my specific questions and concerns about various sections of my paper.

She was so knowledgeable and helpful. I couldn't have corrected my mistakes without her help.

Sara provides excellent advice for improving the flow of ideas and clarity in presentation.

Sara is AWESOME. I am not a very good writer and Sara was great in reassuring me that I knew more than I claimed. She is very patient, approachable, and provides just the right amount of help. I will definitely be using her services in the future.

Sara worked with me on the flow of my paper. She helped me understand what I need to tell my audience and in what order.

I really learned how to just be more concise in how I answer what is being asked of me to write. I also learned how to better synthesize the literature when presenting the evidence about the topic. Sara was professional and respectful. She was able to provide her feedback at my level of understanding and she listened to my own feedback. She asked for clarity on things that she may not have understood. This is my first session with her. I thought it was excellent.
