Professional Editing Services for DNP Students & Graduates
Update: I am no longer offering editing services to individual clients.
Since 2011, I have helped more than 475 nursing students become better scholarly and scientific writers.
A large part of my work has been focused on helping DNP students and graduates like you write about their final evidence-based projects.

This includes editing their
- evidence-based project proposal for IRB submission
- evidence review or literature synthesis
- publishable journal manuscript about their DNP project, and/or
- scholarly paper about their EBP project.
My own experience with developing a theory-based (e.g., evidence-based) intervention, implementing it in a community setting, and evaluating it via both qualitative and quantitative methods made me naturally gravitate toward helping nursing professionals enrolled in the dynamic, practice-oriented degree program known as the Doctor of Nursing Practice.
I also realize that being a graduate-level nursing student--or a professional at the highest level of healthcare practice--means that your time is limited.
Very limited.
And learning how to write better probably is not at the top of your priority list.
That's where I come to your rescue.

Editing of Nursing Manuscripts for Journal Publication
Several DNP programs (like the top-ranked DNP program for which I served as students' editor and writing instructor for 7 years) require their students to write a publishable manuscript about their DNP project and submit it to a peer-reviewed journal prior to graduating.
These manuscripts follow the standard layout and contents of any scientific manuscript designed for publication. They typically range from 1,200 to 4,500 words (10 to 20 pages).
If this sounds like the kind of paper you're required to write, I recommend you participate in one of my highly regarded DNP manuscript-writing programs as a first step.
However, I realize for many of you, time is of the essence.
Your university's deadlines are fast approaching, and you need a publication-ready manuscript written NOW!
Therefore, I have offered expert professional editing services of manuscript-length DNP project papers (10 to 20 pages, max.) to both current doctor of nursing practice students and graduates.

Sara: I submitted my manuscript this morning (to Elsevier)! You have been amazing throughout this process and I will be forever thankful! I am most thankful for the grammatical lessons learned during our editing sessions. I appreciate you telling me the "why's" with each suggested edit. You not only provided excellent editorial services, you led me to become a better writer. Thank you so very much,

Editing of DNP Project Proposals & Final Scholarly Papers
Most DNP programs require their students to write a final academic paper, similar to a Masters thesis or a Doctoral dissertation in length, breadth, and layout.
These papers can be 60-120 pages and loaded with figures, tables, appendices, and references. They are not required to meet journal manuscript standards for length and content. Instead, they are for submission to a DNP project committee and your university library only.
If this sounds like the paper you're writing, contact me directly to tell me more about the paper you need edited.

Important Note: No matter which service you choose, I will never write or rewrite your paper for you!
Thank you so much Sara! This is a huge help. It was great to have a set of eyes read this that are not familiar with my project because you pointed out some areas that I did not explain clearly and areas that made sense to me but wouldn't to those who are not working intimately with my project. I really appreciate your assistance and your fast turnaround time.

Writing Workshops for DNP Students & Graduates
The most economical option for all DNP students and graduates who have difficulty writing to the high standards of most DNP programs is to attend one or more of my writing-instruction workshops, webinars, or courses.
Since 2018, I have developed two writing programs specifically for DNPs who wish to publish their project results in peer-reviewed journals.
Feedback was outstanding for both programs.

So well done! As I was listening to [Session 1], I was thinking I wished I had this resource 2 years ago or even last year. I would not feel so stressed and lost about writing a manuscript if I had known about this pilot program. I truly believe this should be offered as a class during a summer semester and maybe as an elective so all students can take advantage and not feel so anxious about writing a manuscript.
